Trauma Related Evaluations
Individuals who have experienced trauma may seek legal means to try and access justice or repair for their pain. Trauma leaves marks that aren't always visible — but they are measurable. As a forensic evaluator, I provide rigorous, evidence-based psychological assessments that help courts, legal teams, and the people they represent understand how traumatic experiences have shaped a person's mental health, functioning, and life.
A forensic trauma evaluation is a structured psychological assessment designed to answer specific legal questions about the psychological impact of traumatic events. Unlike therapy, the goal is not treatment — it is clarity. I review records, conduct clinical interviews, and administer validated psychological measures to produce a comprehensive report that can withstand legal scrutiny and meaningfully inform decision-making.
These evaluations are used in civil litigation, criminal proceedings, immigration cases, and a range of other legal contexts where the psychological effects of trauma are relevant to the matter at hand. This includes: workplace trauma, childhood and developmental trauma, PTSD and psychological injury, and sexual trauma and abuse.
Parenting Plan Evaluations
A parenting plan evaluation is a process in which a trained professional uses a combination of observations, interviews, and psychological testing to determine what would be the best arrangements for children going through a separation or divorce. While custody disputes are often painful, the evaluation process doesn't have to be.
My process closely follows both the APA and AFCC guidelines. I use a structured, multi-method approach to reduce bias and has conducted dozens of evaluations of this sort. I combined my training in child development with my extensive experience in psychological assessment to provide thorough, in-depth evaluations to those who need them.
Expert Testimony
Forensic evaluation does not end with a written report. When cases proceed to deposition or trial, I am available to testify as an expert witness, translating complex psychological findings into clear, credible testimony that holds up under cross-examination. I bring the same rigor to the witness stand that I bring to the evaluation itself — prepared, objective, and able to communicate clinical concepts in terms that judges and juries can meaningfully engage with.
I have testified in a range of legal proceedings, including civil litigation, criminal hearings, and immigration court. Attorneys who work with me can expect thorough preparation, transparency about the strengths and limitations of my findings, and a composed, professional presence in court. My goal is not to advocate for an outcome — it is to give the fact-finder an accurate and well-grounded picture of the psychological evidence.
Mediation
Conflict is costly — emotionally, financially, and relationally. Mediation offers a structured, confidential alternative to litigation that keeps decision-making in the hands of the people most affected by the outcome.
I provide mediation services for two distinct contexts. For families navigating divorce or separation, I help individuals work through the practical and emotional complexities of reorganizing family life — parenting arrangements, asset division, and the difficult conversations that lawyers alone aren't always equipped to facilitate. My background in psychological assessment means I bring a nuanced understanding of family dynamics, communication patterns, and the needs of children into the room.
For business owners and partners, I work with co-founders, partners, and closely held business teams who are experiencing conflict that threatens the health of the organization or the working relationship. Whether you're navigating a disagreement about direction, a breakdown in trust, or a decision about the future of the business, mediation can help you reach workable agreements without the expense and adversarialism of legal proceedings.
In both contexts, my role is not to decide — it is to create the conditions for productive dialogue and durable resolution.
