Public Speaking
I am available for conference presentations, professional trainings, and continuing education events.
If you have an audience that would benefit from either of these topics — or from the intersection of psychology, decision-making, and high-stakes environments more broadly — I'd love to talk.
I bring the same curiosity I bring to my clinical and forensic work to public speaking and professional training — with the goal of making sure people actually enjoy themselves along the way.
Human Factors in Avalanche & Snow Science As an active researcher in human factors, I have presented at six Snow and Avalanche Workshops, bringing a psychological lens to decision-making in high-stakes, high-consequence environments. These talks appeal to practitioners, researchers, and outdoor professionals who want to think more rigorously about why people make the decisions they do under pressure.
Ethics in Rural Psychology I authored a book on Ethics in Rural Psychology and have led four full-day trainings for mental health professionals. Rural practice presents ethical challenges that standard training rarely prepares clinicians for, and I've spent years developing a framework for navigating them thoughtfully. Attendees consistently find these trainings both practically useful and — somehow — genuinely fun.
